For individuals seeking a certificate of qualification as a Montessori assistant, this course offers comprehensive training and certification. During the 10 month program, you will learn and practice along side of our teachers-in-training. Hands-on work with the materials in the classroom will give you the skills and confidence needed to better assist your lrad teachers, and have a fuller understanding of the Montessori philosophy and method of presentation. You will not be creating teaching albums or submiting any written research assignments in this program, however you will receive lots of positive reinforcement, feedback, and the opportunity to practice in a supervised environment, with experienced instructors to guide your proffessional development journey.

Open Enrollment
The NEWBOROUGH Teacher Training Institute only admits students with the ability to benefit from this course, as assessed through the admissions interview with the director. A minimum of Grade 12 or an OUAC credit in Mathematics and English (or the equivalent) is needed for acceptance to this course in Canada.

Montessori teachers create an environment suited to the nature of the children that allows them the freedom to interact with their environment. The Montessori teacher's role is to observe the children in order to meet their daily needs and to be a guide and facilitator to the children in their own search for perfection.
